Built for the platforms that built for everyone else.
In 2022, Laura Petrov was VP of Product at a vertical SaaS company building payment features for property managers. The engineering work — the interesting part — kept getting blocked by a different kind of problem: 14 months of bank partnership negotiations, state licensing applications, CIP program reviews, and AML policy drafts that had nothing to do with the product she was trying to ship. The compliance and banking layer was consuming the whole team.
She looked across the embedded finance landscape and saw the same problem at every vertical SaaS she talked to. The banking infrastructure didn't exist in a form that a non-bank company could actually consume. You either built it yourself — 18 months minimum — or you didn't ship the feature. Finsyncio is what should have existed in 2022. One API, one compliance wrapper, zero bank-partnership headaches. We founded the company in 2023 and operate from San Francisco.
How we work
Infrastructure, not features
Our job is to be invisible infrastructure — reliable, compliant, and out of the way. We don't add product features that dilute the core.
Compliance as a feature
Compliance is a hard problem that vertical SaaS teams shouldn't have to solve. We maintain it so our customers can market it.
Developer-first — not a middleware company
An API that requires a 90-minute onboarding call is not an API. Documentation, SDKs, and sandbox testing let engineers self-serve from day one. We are not a service bureau that routes your requests through a human ops team.
